I accumulated 602 miles, riding on 31 days during May.
Probably 100+ of those miles were with the BOB trailer in tow, so I could haul cargo of various sorts - everything from tomato pony packs, to an assortment of shovels and rakes for a landscaping project, to a couple bags of junky tools from Harbor Freight Tools. (I've got a weakness for their sales. I buy stuff there that I know won't last, or that will never get heavy use... the stuff that I'll probably only use 10 times over the rest of my life.) Of course, my favorite "Bob cargo" continues to be my marvelous granddaughter, Mackenzie. I'd guess she went 50+ miles with me in May - mostly trips up and down the Boise River, to various parks and playgrounds, and as a participant in the "Pedal Power Parade."

I ride lots but probably never that much, Congrats. My notable accomplishment for may is biking the Weiser River Trail. The trail is 85 miles end to end but we did 72 miles of it and camped halfway. I saw parts of Idaho not seen by road.
Clancy - I'm envious! I'm going to ride that trail someday. Also the Coeur d'Alene trail. (Hopefully in August with a Scout group I'm associated with... if I can convince them that they can't "train" for an 80-mile, 2-day ride by playing video games all summer.)
I am riding Trail of the Hiawatha this Friday with the kids and family. Should be fun.
The Hiawatha is fantastic! We did it maybe 8 years ago - before the Taft Tunnel was opened. You will have a fantastic time. You might consider riding UP in the morning, and back DOWN in the afternoon. (When we did it, I dropped the group off at the top, then drove the vehicle to the bottom, then furiously rode back up - on the road - to meet them, and we all rode down the path together.)
Make sure everybody has decent lighting! (Even without the Taft, some of those tunnels are long enough that you can't see light from either end... it is DARK!)
Just one way for me but with the Taft Tunnel. Lights will be rented for a few. I have my car light mounted to my bike ;)
Clancy, how was the trail surface? Years ago, I was told it was tough going for bikes because of deep gravel in spots. Is it better now?
(I was referring to the Weiser River trail in the previous comment. Not sure if that's clear or not.)
db,
We started at Evergreen Campground and the trail was nice all the way to Cambridge. At Cambridge we ran into the wagon train so a little rougher till Midvale. Midvale to Galloway Dam pretty much was like riding on marbles. Combination of the 2 goat herds and the wagon train. They do occasionally roll the trail so I think we just hit a bad weekend. The wagons are only on it once a year. I had Schwalbe Big Apple 26x 2.35 tires on my Xtracycle and they were perfect for the good parts.
Here is pics that my brother and friend took. http://picasaweb.google.com/jtucker.anderson/Mundo12002#

Hey, thanks for that, Clancy - both the description and the photos. Looks like a great ride.
Oh, I've GOTTA go ride that Weiser River trail! (The photos totally sold me!)
I would ride it in the spring or early June. Goatheads and the heat being the main factor. I am told the lower portion gets pretty bad late in the season.
