I call this drag.

Drag sometimes comes from the wind, your bike or your body/mind. Somedays have more drag than other. But I don't let nothing drag me down.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-198843833237575122.post-88998121755594850982007-03-28T12:05:00.000-06:002007-03-28T12:05:00.000-06:00Wow, the winds this morning (Wed., March 28) were ...Wow, the winds this morning (Wed., March 28) were horrible. Added 5-10 minutes to my commute. Hard to wax eloquent about the joys of bike commuting after getting my butt kicked like that, but hey, it's good exercise, good training, and good acclimatization, right?

At least I avoided any goatheads this morning. Would've hated to try to patch a tire in windy, low-light conditions.dbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09527673886975332497noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-198843833237575122.post-53918126311639225942007-03-27T10:21:00.000-06:002007-03-27T10:21:00.000-06:00Ugh, we've been finding them ALL WINTER LONG. A real issue for us when we run or mountain bike on the bank road, but they make their way onto the street as well.dbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09527673886975332497noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-198843833237575122.post-86763549883757838192007-03-26T22:05:00.000-06:002007-03-26T22:05:00.000-06:00note to self, when i run barefoot -- do not run wh...note to self, when i run barefoot -- do not run where the goatheads lie.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18364066783956286697noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-198843833237575122.post-1945612364258984182007-03-26T16:57:00.000-06:002007-03-26T16:57:00.000-06:00I have never been much of a religous person, but t...I have never been much of a religous person, but this story brought God to the forefront of my mind... There's nothing more horrible than hearing the tell-tale "crunch" of rolling through an unseen patch of the beasties, and then seeing the horrible white spots on a slowly deflating tire. They look like little devil heads for a good reason.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-198843833237575122.post-88161973310330876502007-03-26T13:54:00.000-06:002007-03-26T13:54:00.000-06:00yeh I have the same problem.
