But having changed jobs to a downtown boise office building, I now have the opportunity for 20+ mile commutes (round trip). The only real variable is my ability to stave off laziness and keep up the riding. :-)Jasonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02900443216177885143noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-198843833237575122.post-44981616439305937752007-12-17T10:17:00.000-07:002007-12-17T10:17:00.000-07:00Good on you!Good on you!Benhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00961730330848873802noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-198843833237575122.post-62941747189094811012007-12-17T09:04:00.000-07:002007-12-17T09:04:00.000-07:00Thanks for the kind sentiments, my friends. The bik...Thanks for the kind sentiments, my friends.

The bike-computer is a double-edged sword.

It's a lame reason for riding, compared with the far more tangible reasons, like stress relief, exercise, $ savings, the environment, etc. (When I think about riding just to watch the odometer spin... it seems pretty silly.)

But it has provided some incentive over the years to go another mile or two. (I s'pose it's on the same level as $50/month health club dues, which are incentive for some folks to visit the health club regularly.)Bikeboyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17379272663647894409noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-198843833237575122.post-65695444859906906382007-12-17T08:55:00.000-07:002007-12-17T08:55:00.000-07:00Wow, that's very impressive. It's a far cry from 6000, but by far the most I've ever done.

Anyway, well done. And may next year be another great year of riding.Apertomehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00148516503920019073noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-198843833237575122.post-50604983550447123652007-12-17T08:53:00.000-07:002007-12-17T08:53:00.000-07:00congrats.
